Can I open an STP file in this STEP viewer?

Yes. The .step and .stp extensions identify the same CAD exchange format, and this viewer accepts both.

Does viewing a STEP file change its CAD geometry?

No. The viewer creates a display mesh in your browser for navigation and visual inspection. It does not modify or overwrite the original STEP file.

Can I edit CAD features in the online STEP viewer?

No. This tool displays the model so you can rotate and inspect it. Use a CAD application to change dimensions, edit solids, or prepare a manufacturing drawing.
